On top of that, I'm shutting everything but my TC rig down for the next week or so anyway because Cincinnati is going through an "Unseasonally warm period" and my basement was 80F last night when I got home (usually 70F). I refuse to turn my AC on in December, so until these 60F+ days pass, my rigs are taking a break. I speand nearly all my time at home in the basement (between my office and my theater) and I can't deal with that kind of heat.

You cant shut down your tc rig, your right on my tail biggrin.gif My 570s still on mostly 8057s with 1 or 2 8054s a day.

Its been cool here today, 34F out but its 70f in my apartment without heat running because they keep the office downstairs so warm

I ran the main ran overnight with 8 cores low priority, and it stays 1500 ppd less then 6 cores with normal priority so ill just leave it at 6 cores and be happy with cooler temps and more points. It picked up a 764x this afternoon and its getting 21k ppd. My old 2500k at 4.8 was lucky to get 13k ppd in a vm

"You all should live in a cooler state"
translation: a cold state as apposed to a warm or hot state

"like Arizona"
translation: as apposed to any other state than Arizona

"was 50*F this morning and it is at it's warmest today at 63*F"
translation: this morning it was fifty degrees Fahrenheit or ten degrees Celsius. The tempature at the hottest part of the day was sixty-three degrees Fahrenheit or seventeen degrees Celsius

To bad my pc and theater rooms were about 85*F last night
translation: what a bummer because my computer and television room was about eighty-five degrees Fahrenheit or twenty-nine degrees Celsius. (wow! that was hot!)

something strange happened last night. It was unbelievably hot in here, the air was set to 78*F,
translation: something weird happened nineteen hours ago. though my thermostat was set to seventy-eight degrees Fahrenheit or twenty-six degrees Celsius the room was very very very hot!

the ceiling fan pulls down the air from the air vent
translation: I have a five bladed fan that hangs from up above the floor but under the roof and I have cooling vent near it and it helps to distribute the cool air in the room

My folding pc's were cooking.
translation: the two computers I use for folding@home were very, very, very hot!

I tried setting up a stationary fan on the floor up close pointing towards my intake fans
translation: I got a smaller fan that does not move up or down or left or right and blows in one direction. I pointed this fan directly in front of my computer toward the intake fans inside the computer that blows the air all over the inside of my computer case

temps kept going up and did not stop. Even the pc was buggin out with the high temps
translation: instead of my computer temperatures going down the temperatures went up. They continued to climb until I removed the fan from in front of the computer. Because the computer was so hot programs or applications started crashing... or translation: the computers was broken

I took that stationary fan to straight to another zip code so my temps would go down again. And they did.
translation: I removed the fan blowing air into my case from the outside and as soon as I did this the temperatures went back down. computer wasn't broken anymore

any ideas? Like I said for today outside temps are on the cooler side but no folding today. But I just want to be ready for the next time I fire them up
translation: does anyone know why this happened? I am not using the folding@home client today. I am giving them time to cool off and giving them a break. If anyone has any advise why this might have happened I would appreciate it. When it is time to use the folding@home client again I don't want to make the same mistakes and "break my computer"

Thank you in advance.
