Catleap owner here, and honestly I just used one of the profiles loaded in one of the original posts in the Catleap Owners Club thread. There is a step by step tutorial on how to do it and a couple of profiles to try. One worked what I deem close enough. I found using windows to calibrate it confusing, but also didn't want to spend the money on one of those calibration tools.

That exact one, yes. Check post number 8236 in this forum for the issue I had. I put pics and whatnot in there on this spot I have in it. Other than that, monitor has been great. No problems besides that damn brighter spot and no dead pixels.
Edit: Fail, not this forum. The catleap monitor club one. I'm sorry.

No problem. Mine is just one example. There are perfect ones and ones that are worse than mine, but I get it. I gambled and am ok with the winnings/losses.

Heh as soon as I Said that someone linked me this with an actual 0 defect warranty....... All the other supposed 'perfect pixel' were actually up to 5 defect pixels.

To be perfectly honest if the price came down to $300 again I would do it all over. Unfortunately since I'm running a single card setup I think I would have to go with a multi input model, which is pricier. Otherwise there's the whole active display port adapter thing that I'm not too familiar with but those aren't cheap either. When I bought I was almost too late to the party and if I wanted one for $300, that one was my only choice. 2 days later it was $90 more, so you can see why I still deem it a win. I can overlook that little flaw for the money saved, and with a more detailed background you can't see it (gaming for example).

yea I just think it would drive me nuts especially if I payed 300-400 for it.. I emailed that ebay seller of the 0 defect shimian to ask if I do receive it and it is defect who pays the shipping back. If he does not pay the shipping back in the event of defect I will have to pass as I am sure shipping to korea is not cheap.

Most likely the response is going to be "you pay shipping back. If we test and it is defective, we will ship new one and refund shipping charges". Say you find one stuck/dead pixel. You ship it all the way back and it gets unstuck. They test it and don't see it or refuse to acknowledge that it's there. Then they ship it back to you again, provided they don't want to charge you for that too. I don't know, the pixel perfect policy (say that fast without spitting) is too grey for my taste. If it's crucial to you I would wait for overlord. My personal other option is to drive 250 miles to MicroCenter.
Hey, side note. You do realize on my pictures of my monitor that the bright spot is on the right hand side and is a little lighter color. The spot on the left of the monitor is a reflection.
