AMD should have increased the cache size of the Thubans K10 series and did a die shrink on it and make the integer section run faster... that would have been a lot easier and would have produced a better faster product with instant success...

Instead, they take half the FPU's out and target servers with the BD architecture then try to sell that to the public... total screwup...

They had reached the limit of that incredibly dated architecture.

Plus BD might only have 4 FPUs but each can handle two 128-bit workloads simultaneously. Each can only handle one 256-bit workload but Thuban wasn't even capable of those in the first place.

People can complain about AMD as much as they want - but people STILL buy Phenom II X2/X3/X4 and they've been around since what? November 2008? That's 4 years!
