This instead and save 100? Then crossfire later on?

edit: oh, and overclock the s*** out of it. Its got a good cooler on it.

Gigabyte have a good cooler and a solid warranty.

What about 3D? Also looking at 3D in the future. How do nVidia's 3D options compare to AMD?

Nvidias 3D vision is pretty f****n awesome and has had more time to mature compared to AMD. To be honest though... i stopped using it after a while. Probably put the glasses on once in the past 6mos. Of course, it may be different for you.

Keep in mind that you need the 3d vision kit (100-150$) with a 120HZ monitor. I'd really like to try it though.
