Wireless Security Cameras

Hi Guys,

I have no idea where to place this but...since this is the Video Cameras section, and what I'm asking about are video cams...I guess this is the best place to put it.

So my neighborhood is getting pretty dangerous right now due to vandals and people who don't have anything better to do with their lives but to disrupt our peaceful neighborhood...our neighbor had their thrashed and painted with some racial slurs and ours was slightly damaged but nothing a little paint remover can't fix.

I was wondering if anyone has experience in setting up wireless security cameras.

I already have a media server running WHS 2011 Vail and my home network is already setup running 24/7.

All I have to do now is to get a dedicated HDD (going for 1TB WD Red) and wipe it out every week OR month if there isn't really anything happening.

I have just a few requirements:

Wireless

Must have internal battery (I've seen ones with 9v inside of them)

Turn on with motion / Motion Detection (Saves battery life and HDD space)

Night Vision

Weather Proof

I choose wireless because I can't really drill holes from the outside going inside and the places that can access wire going from the outside in are pretty hard to reach with some of the supplied wired solutions. I've already researched some of the cams via ebay/CanadaComputers/NCIX but I just can't seem to get the right cam I need.

I already have surveyed the perimeter of the house and I know how many I need, 1 in the backyard, 2 on the front door and 1 small spy cam on the door itself, now it's just a matter of getting the hardware and software...

Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

not saying this is the one to get. just posting an example but this is much simpler and affordable solution to a multi cam security system and will work

Thanks for getting me the link, I'll be browsing through Amazon too aside from ebay/CanadaComputers/NCIX...newegg charges shipping a little bit too steep for my liking.

As for budget, I'm looking at $200 to $300 for all the cameras right now as I already have the hardware for storage setup.

+rep for the link.

Thank man appreciate the help, most of the cams I've looked at are connected inside the house for a network or power supply...I've seen some with 9v batteries and they're pretty expensive and way out of my range...might go for just 1 this time and that's going to be a door front mounted cam that can see whoever is approaching the door.
