@OP, after seeing pics and posts in this thread i am changing my vote to the samsung RAM, they will look awesome in a saberthooth if you can even see them
Yeah, they really suit ANY black board. They'd look weird on a Blue Gigabyte board though, kind of why I got the Z77x over a plain Z77.
You can't really see them at all to be honest, I forget that I even have RAM in this thing!
As for buying them, I got a family friend to ship them over (Dad was a Taxi driver and met him one night and invited him over one day). He was fine with it all and I got 16GB for $100 shipped here.
The price has obviously dropped since, on newegg. He got them off Amazon as he's got an account there anyway.
I just found this,
it costs a bit more but if you're keen on getting them that's a decent deal for shipped to Australia. These
might work out a better deal if you can get them shipped directly to you? It works out cheaper for Australians to get them off that eBay seller though I know the shipping here from BH Photo is around $30+

to 1.30v from the stock 1600 @ 11-11-11-28 at 1.35v. I mean 16GB for around $75 is a really good deal. You cant buy factory tweaked sticks with that timing on the market running at them volts. You would have to blow $50 into a pair of RipjawsX that does 1600 @ 8-8-8-24 at 1.5v. So now you're spending more money, and your memory is chewing up a bunch more volts (less headroom).
Pretty much, I can't find ANY RAM in Australia that will do such speeds at such little voltage apart from these monsters. A few come close, but no dice. I've heard the Corsair low voltage range (I can't remember the specific name) can do similar overclocks, but not quite as good. Though they have nice simple heatspreaders and are a bit taller too. They come in white and black I believe too. Don't quote me on them being good though.
It's also amazing to see that the lower density sticks clock even better! I wonder what a 2GB kit would clock like?
