Anyone with the LV Samsung 2x4GB kit want to compare figures?

So I want to test something that we were talking about in my training class. My instructor said that the difference between rank on memory modules is the number of times the CPU has to access the memory. So if it's rank 1, it only has to access it one time. Rank 2 means 2 times, and rank 4 means 4 times, since there's 4 64-bit chips on a 4 rank module. I'd like to put up an article on OCN going into detail about this, along with some comparison.

So here's the deal. I have the 4x2GB LV modules, currently clocked to 1866, 11-11-11-28 1T. My DIMMs are rank 1 (it says something along the lines of 1Rx8). I've noticed on the Samsung website that the 2x4GB modules appear to have 2Rx8 on them, indicative of second rank. The challenge is to find somebody who has a similar setup (i7 2600k at stock speed, and same memory speed/timings) or somebody that would be willing to set there memory to the same to compare the difference between 1R and 2R. Granted I don't expect that individual to have my motherboard, an EVGA P67 Sli Micro, but the difference due to motherboard manufacture should be minimal at best. I would like to benchmark in Maxmem if possible. Any takers?

I too have the samsung memory, and my system is in my signature. My system is definitely different from yours, but it shouldn't make that much of a difference when it comes to memory.

At this point I am just trying to give you what I have. I don't know why, but I am a tad confused on what you want. If you want something different, just let me know and I will try to get you a second benchmark. thumb.gif

This is my samsung ram running at 1.6v at 2400mhz with 10-11-11-28 1T

Here's a bench of mine running at 11-11-11-28 1T 1866:

What I want to see is a bench of your ram at the same settings, to see if they are close to the same performance.
