Case Alternatives to 300r

Hey guys, my current case selection is the Corsair 300r but I have some concerns about being able to fit a really good cpu cooler (since the air coolers are massive and CLC's have large radiators). My height limit is about 21.5" and depth (front to back) limit is an absolute max of 19.5". Width isn't as much an issue, up to 10" or more would even be okay. Is the 300r probably my best option for a case this size? It will only fit the H70 push-pull for certain as an intake up front, and I have concerns about whether the TT Frio would clear RAM or not (as well as clearing the cases side panel).

I'd like to run an H70 push-pull or TT Frio, depending on my mood the day I buy lol. I like the simplicity of the air coolers but prefer the uncluttered, simple look of Corsair CLC's. also, mobo is ASRock Z77 Extreme4, 3570k CPU, EVGA GTX670 FTW if that helps! I will get whatever RAM is the best deal at the time of purchase but like the Ripjaws a lot.

large coolers should fit in it, mine is 155mm tall and still has probably 2 cm at least of space. h70 will fit push pull in the back exhaust, you dont have to place it up front. The TT frio should fit height no problem as it is only 165 mm. Ram clearance is a motherboard issue not an issue with case width. Hope this helps thumb.gif

Thanks! I'll have to take a closer look at my mobo and see what the clearances look like. My other concern from what I've read is that Corsair H-Series may not clear the MB heatsinks and such with some MB's. but that's probably something I'll just have to see once it is installed.

H100 does not fit, and the H60/H80 won't fit on the back with the rear top exhaust fan in place.

Do you mean with the "push" fan in place on the radiator, or do you mean the "top" fan on the case, i.e. exhausting air out the top grill of the 300r? I won't be running a fan on the top in all likelihood.

I'm a 300R owner.
I'm using the Hyper 212+ (159mm of height).

The Noctua DH-14 fits without the side fans.

The highest heatsink that I've heard that fits is the Havik 140 (height of 166mm).

The one on top, pic I took during a build for a teammate.

How much is the 300R that you are looking at buying? Lot of cases on sale right now that outclass it in just about every respect.

I think it's somewhere around 70-80. I'm not that worried about price, but I wouldn't want to go over $120 or so. I just haven't found another case with good cable management, build quality, a side window, and the size I need other than this one really. Any suggestions that fall within my parameters?

Good list, Captain! Thanks Although some of those depth numbers aren't what I've found. Fractal's website lists the Arc Midi as being 515mm deep, which is a little over 20" right?
