Update: IT's my birthday and one of my prezzies was the case for my build :3

so i'm gona spoil you with some snaps. will take more when i get all the components and start building. i will also give my own little amateur review of the case :3

A Size comparison against a standard PC game :3

Love the look of this case! i did turn the front HDD + Fan docks around from the default cross flow position to front intake and i didn't even look at the instructions, as any man does wink.gif and it was easy and straight forward.

Can't wait to start geting the rest of the kit in and get this build going, not long now!

Well guys, some good news and some bad news...

good news. Student loan just came through just ordered my 3770k, the first of the two GTX 670 FTW Editions, Corsair 16GB 2x8GB Vengence LP, EVGA SuperNova 750W PSU and my ASUS DVD + RW drive. and it's all due for arrival this coming week.

CANT WAIT!

how ever.... BAD NEWS. i was showing off my case and MoBo to a friend and he had a gander, and noticed two pins on the CPU socket where bent. like crazy bent out of place :'( so i sent it back to OverclockersUK and hopefully fingers crossed they replace it since it wasn't damaged due to miss use and caused before it was delivered to me. since as soon as i got it i put it up on my wardrobe safe till i got my case to put it in and i haven't touched the socket protector at all :/

and thats why i'm not getting as much gear so soon. i still have money left over from my student loan because if OverclockersUK don't replace the faulty goods i'm going to have to fight since it wasn't caused by me but before delivery. so i'm saving £100 or so just incase of unforeseen charges or the unfortunate event of needing to buy a new MoBO. if all goes the way it should i will get my replacement MoBo and buy my White braided Extension cables Corsair SP120 performance fans for the Rads, the Fan controller, NZXT HUE RGB LED controller and probably a novelty gamer mug for drinking my celebratory hot choc ^.^

fingers crossed everyone that my MoBo gets replaced hassle free!

Well it's update time and well there is good news and bad news for 'Vamp'. i will kick of with the bad news so we end on a high wink.gif

Well over the holidays i have had incredible Toothache and since it was the holidays all the dentists where closed, so i had to wait 2 weeks till they re opened and i made my appointment, turned out because i broke my moler on noodles. don't ask me how. i didn't even think it possible :O but anyhow i didn't have much of said tooth left and which left it open to damage for a year D: yes i damaged my tooth last year and i'm only just getting problems :S Well i had a big inspection and lots of Xrays and it turns out i have infection just under the tooth in the Gum and nerve damage from the lack of tooth. Great so therefore i have had to make £100 cutback on 'Vamp' to afford the huge bill I'm soon to receive. therfore i have cut out the Fan controller, NZXT HUE RBG LED controller and all of the cable extensions. if the 8 Pin EPS doesn't reach through the back of the case to keep it tidy i will have to route it up the inside and cable tie it best i can for now until i can afford my cable extensions.

So at this stage of he build log she won't be as purrrdy as i planned but i will make do for now. however all the plans are still in place just i will have to wait a bit longer till i can make some cash to buy the cutbacks i have had to make for now :/

ANYWHOOO!!!

To the good news...

My Motherboard has came back from repair and i have spend the morning Building her up biggrin.gif I even paused "Underworld Evolution" thats how excited i am ^.^

so yes. lets crack on!

Here is my MoBo fresh back from Repair and ready to go inside my Beautiful Stryker once more!

Welll, its in there but it did take some effort! seems i damaged the mounting screws at some point when i last put it in. probably excitable wallaby hands didn't make well for ensuring a clean screwing in :')

My 3770k! Lets get it in there good and propper wink.gif

I like the "Pea" method on these smaller CPU's i think if i had built a 2011 Rig i would have used the spread method tbh.

The D-14 from my old Rig, gona use this temporarily Until i can afford the Water Cooling in April smile.gif

Rear Mounting bracket in place. time for the awkward "rest the big heavy case on your wrist while you assemble the front of the mounting bracket" :')

The mounting bracket fully assembled! Right lets get that D14 up there then biggrin.gif

Looks like i forgot one key thing to remember when installing an after market cooler...Can you spot what it is?

Yes... Thats right! Install the RAM first! :') Off with the D14 again :')

Looking sharp there Corsair Vengeance LP! I did want the Arctic white sticks but unfortunatly they don't do single 8GB sticks frown.gif shame!

Lets get the D14 back on again and get on with the rest of the build wink.gif

The most excitable component I'm waiting to get bench tested. The EVGA 670 FTW.

Isn't she a beauty? wink.gif

Offfft. looking nice so far :3

I didn't know where to stick the EVGA badge where it wouldn't ruin the look of the Stryker so i stook it on the drive bay facing out the front. hidden by the side panel but whenever i open her up you will be able to see it smile.gif

My specially chosen ASUS DVD RW, since i wanted this to be a sort of showcase or show off Rig i chose this DVD drive since it looks really nice on show with that ASUS logo sitting there all proud biggrin.gif

Utter Perfection! I Can't wait till my EVGA SuperNova 750 Power supply comes and she will be finished and time to Bench and see what she can do ^.^

Well, there she is so far guys. now I'm just waiting on OverclockersUK to dispatch my Power Supply and I will be up and running. after that it won't be long untill April comes around and i order all my Water Cooling from Special Tech and my Second 670 FTW from Scan biggrin.gif

I have enjoyed this build so far. and i have enjoyed making my first build log, i know there are better quality build logs going and have been done but this has been a great experiance so far and i'm still excited to finish so i hope you guys have enjoyed it so far too smile.gif

some things in that are viable to change such as fans and coolant. because the coolant is quite expensive however it is exactly the colour i want and can last up to 3 years it would be a good investment. however i'm not sure how many liters i will need? i was thinking 2. but not sure. can anyone estimate how much i will need to help me calculate if i need to re think the coolant? also the fans are expensive but they are the best and i realllly want to get a 5Ghz overclock on my 3770k.

i also have to buy my second graphics card ontop of this. but i will have to re calculate when i get the loan in to see what sort of price the GTX 670 FTW is sitting at by then.

i may be able to afford this plan and possibly a fan controller as well if i get lots of work through designing logo's and such on my facebook business (fingers crossed)

if not i will probably get quiet edition fans and have them all on molex adapters to keep the costs down.

but watch this space <3

Well my Power Supply came on Tuesday last week and i have her all set up and all my games installed but well here are some pics of my PSU : EVGA NEX SuperNova 750g

the night pics don't do her justice. my crappy iPhone 3G camera doesn't give a good pic as to what i can see from my eyes, i got told about an app to lower the exposure but it won't install on my old 3G D: so need a new phone next!

SO! who wan'ts to see benchmarks btw i have the 3770k at 4.7Ghz @ 1.35 vCore and she hits temps of around 78 degrees C after an hour of OCCT
