mod your case and put some fans on the side that will blow air on the graphics card. its simle and will probably cost you $20 including the cost of the fan if you dont already have the tools to complete this task. The tools you will need to purchase if you dont have already is a Dremel($10 at home depot) and tape to mark out the outline of the hole you need to cut. Familiarize yourself with the case mod section found here at oc.net. there is endless information and tips that will help you.

It doesn't seem to be that hot, clean out some of the dust and you should be fine. GPUs run alot hotter then CPUs and they are safe within 70-80C. My GPU thresholds at 125C lol.

Welcome to the forums btw

As already said your temps are fine and within the normal range for a stock cooler.

If you do want to upgrade cooler then the zalman vf700cu is a good one and one of the few that fit the 6600gt agp. Ram sinks wont fit tho without pretty major trim but works fine without them.

If u do go for that option just make sure u have a hsi heatsink to go with it.....zalman do one of them too if the stock one isnt seperate from main hsf.

Temp drop is quite dramatic to say the least even when overclocked to 600/1200

Doesnt seen too hot at leats for the 6600gt. I believe the 6600 ahs a ceiling temp of 145c as my friend has one, compared to 115c on myh 7800gt. But dont worry, one day at his house we decided to see how hot we could get it, kinda like video card suicide as he had a brand new 7800gs to install. Set up riva in the background in graph temp mode. Playing FEAR, we hit 105c witht he side of hus case off. So 70-80 is nothing.
