Low benchmark scores?

I am using 12.11 Beta 7 drivers by the way!

Stock 900/1250
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4947298

OCed to 1240MHz/1600
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4947390

37% higher core clock for a score 1.33% higher on graphics, 1.23% higher on physics & 1.315% higher combined.

I won't speak about unigine since the test gives me 10 times better score when overclock than stock (don't know why).

Still my scores seem quite low compared to other owners having lower clock on their card!

I did all tests in 1200p with extreme setting.

I will do 3Dmark vantage & 3D mark 06, some one gave me his keys smile.gif

What scores should I expect? I am running the CPU @ 4GHz, I will see how the scores react at 4.2GHz, 4.4GHz & 4.6GHz. I also wonder if hyperthreading does help? I don't think I can go higher than 4.4GHz with HT on thou so 4.4GHz HT vs 4.6GHz which one should win?

Hyperthreading does help in 3d11, vantage & 06 (really just those 3 for 3d benchies, others are fine with HT off).
You should probably run at default settings to compare scores & see if you are at the average or better, hard to compare to resolutions that very few use.

Thanks, testing the system with HT on & will use the regular extreme 1080p test!

I forgot how it was a pain in the a$$ to overclock the CPU. Even more when you go from HT off to HT on, it is like a new CPU absolutely different. It reacts differently, problems are much worse and hard to isolate.

Anyhoe, increasing by 200mhz & enabling HT increased by 21% physics performance vs 4GHz with the card clocked @ 1240/1600. Although the graphic score didn't increase...

I will try 1080p tests tomorrow. There is no bottleneck due to the cpu as the graphic & combined benchmark score didn't change with the CPU overclock.

I am tempted to check how my 5870 compares to this smile.gif
Those scores seem low for a 7950 frown.gif
