It baffles me how components are being designed to use less and less power, and people still buy these PSUs.
And yeah, 32gb of ram is only useful for some pretty hardcore video editing, rendering, stuff like that...stick with 8 or 16, but I'd say 8 is a good minimum now.

So 850 is plenty. Even if I choose to do SLI?

I don't know how much power all the water cooling stuff uses, but I can guarantee you that 850 is more than enough.

I don't see myself ever replacing my 650w until the atx standard changes or it breaks tongue.gif

I don't know either this is my first time working with water cooling. I feel as if a 850w psu would be under a lot of stress with water cooling, OCing and 2-3 way SLI. I dont want it failing on me.

There is no performance advantage to getting RAM faster than DDR3-1600, so don't spend extra for it.

Also, if you're going to get a gaming keyboard, make sure it is mechanical. You can spend a bit more money and get a nice mechanical for around $70 or $80. .

I actually would completely disagree with this. I have a Logitech G510 and I am MORE then happy with it.
Although, with all the other changes you asked him to make, he could get this... http://www.cyborggaming.com/strike7/ it is $300, but this thing is badass. I have had the privilege of using one and its amazing, way better then any other keyboard I have ever used. Even the K90.

Yes there is, just because you dont notice it, doesnt mean there isnt. Get the max speed your processor will allow, which is 1866, and get 16GB of it and be good forever!

*EDIT*
Sorry for double post!

For the watercooling loop, I wouldn't go with the pump/waterblock combo. That case has plenty of room for a Swiftech MCP-655B which will give you far better performace. I've been just using a white swiftech apogee with the 655 in mine and it works fantastically.

If you don't notice it, then why pay for it? And DDR3-1600 is the highest that CPU supports officially, so you made my point for me. wink.gif
