12.11 beta 6 BSOD - Page 2

bio poem was doing same crap to me causing random bsod and i even downclocked and raised voltages a ton and it kept happening thats why i went back to dirt then looked into modding the drivers i will update them each time ati releases a new driver till dirt updates their client to use the new opencl without it being slow. I can run dirt and fold on 6 cores and i have no problem so i have no idea what poem does to cause bsods.

What was your BSOD code or what did it say caused it to crash?

18hr P95 is not stable. What could have been stable then may not be now, CPU's do degrade overtime. Back in the day when I took my q9550 out from my ud3p board to my 780i board for SLI after I overclocked it I would get random game crashes. Even though my system could pass a 24hr p95 test and 100 passes of IBT. Turned out that after trying for a 48hr p95 test it failed after 36hr and bsod. After spending many days tweaking it I finally got it to pass 48hr P95 and no more random game crashes. What took 36hr for p95 to cause a BSOD a game would only last from 30min to multiple hours and was never consistent about it. Though Games never BSOD for me just closed out sometimes with a this exe has stopped and sometimes not. Normally if it was a Graphic driver causing it it would shine onto the graphic diver's dll files during the BSOD screen.

Are you only seeing BSOD while gaming or at the desktop just idling? 12.11 drivers demand more out of your system, both GPU and CPU, kinda why some people who were already running high overclocks encounter more stability problems as it unleashes you card better. Truth is it was never truly stable from them, it just seemed like it was. Now the 12.11 drivers could be the cause but I would start upping your voltages to rule out a problem with that. I have 12.11 drives installed on my bros PC with no BSOD but you may just be unlucky with it.

Asrock mobo's tend to have a higher v-droop then most of the higher branded mobo's like gigabyte, so a higher v-core isnt a bad idea.

Sorry, but I disagree... it WAS stable until the drivers changed the system. Mine BSOD'd instantly, so I swept the drivers clean and went back to my old set-up.

Later, when I have time I will start again and try the latest drivers.

FWIW I've been running the 12.11beta4 driver in all 4 of my sig machines without a single problem of any kind. Maybe downgrading to it for now may help solve your problem until the 12.11 final is released. They all run 24/7/365 doing various DC projects.
