When do you next plan to upgrade your Desktop PC?
A: Within the next 6 months, economy permitting

What do you look for when selecting a processor upgrade?
A: Best available balance of Price and Performance
post #664 of 676
Here are my answers..

When do you next plan to upgrade your Desktop PC?

I had no planned time frame for my next upgrade because to be honest, my 2500k is doing me just fine right now. I've always owned AMD processors since I got my first K6-2 450MHz chip, boy was that thing smokin', With all of this in mind, I am definitely excited to see what AMD's new APU can offer!

What do you look for when selecting a processor upgrade?
A: (Choose: Price, Performance, Graphics Capability, Brand, Other (please specify)

When hunting out my next processor upgrade, I take a few things into consideration.. Firstly, performance/price at the same time because we all know that you get what you pay for (in most general cases)
Graphics compatibility doesn't really help me in my decision making because I do not rely on on-board APU or graphics on-board as my main graphics interface.

When do you next plan to upgrade your Desktop PC?
A: Within the next month, 3 months, 6 months, Other (please specify)

Im looking to upgrade within the next 7 months. Im holding out till after the holidays.

What do you look for when selecting a processor upgrade?
A: (Choose: Price, Performance, Graphics Capability, Brand, Other (please specify)

Its a combination of a few things.....Price is always on top becuase lets face it, there are other things that come before PC parts frown.gif but besides money I look for over all performance. I dont benchmark, so im not trying to top the charts, I want it to run my games, decode my videos and allow me to enjoy my experience on the computer. I run a few small servers out of my computer (Steam Games, Minecraft, etc..) so anything that can help that along is always in my mind.
