I'm new to BF3!

I finally fixed my computer, I've been trying to fix it for 3 months.
I bought BF3 so how can I play with you guys? I am decent at the game since I used to play COD, but once I started playing BF3, can't go back to COD, the graphics are amazing, the game play is very smooth, it's just an amazing game and definitely the most enjoyable game I've ever played, I used to play SC2 and now I absolutely hate, I even uninstalled it!
If I want to change the x and z keys to some other keys which ones should I use? It's hard to crouch or prone from the x and z keys while in a firefight.
At the moment I am level 5 or 6 so I don't have a lot of good guns, I like using the DAO shotgun but it sucks at medium range. Which guns are the best and how to unlock them fast? I picked up a UMP yesterday and it's awesome!
I use the same name on Origin BTW smile.gif Any help is appreciated.

A-91 is pretty good. Along with pretty much ALL the assault rifles lol

Welcome to BF3 XP, I use the A91 also. I used it enough to get the 6X scope [this one has a great crosshair sight for mid range shooting ]. See you in-game, take it easy on ole sgtjeep K.

Ok if you came from COD are you an objective player? or just a kill whore? Seriously wondering not trying to be mean or offend you i am pretty sure we all came from COD but we evolved into BF3 players!

Add "Konstraint" on Origin (and me on Steam "icanhasburgers" to let me know when you want to play) and we'll play some rounds together.

I didn't come from COD, more like BF2. All COD games are right next to Mao Zedong on my hate list.

If you are used to close quarters, play TDM and gunmaster, then move up to rush, and then play some of the new Armored Kill Maps. Large maps and vehicles are what Battlefield is all about.

I think the most important part of BF3 is to learn how to move around the maps and how to approach situations and engage enemys! That's my best advise. I can now easly get 100 kills and like 9 deaths just cuz I know how to move around the maps. I almost NEVER engange on direct, front to front battles. I alwasy flank people and stuff.
