Went to the MC in the OC around 1:30ish and they were sold out of this and the 3770k, probably not restocking until Black Friday.

no, Haswell is still several months away, and they did something similar when they liquidated their stock of 2600Ks and 2550Ks just to replace them with 2700K and Ivy CPUs. I imagine they'll sell off the 2700Ks soon so that there's just Ivy left as there is little reason to keep Sandy around.

They probably had this sale now to boost consumer traffic to their stores the week before Thanksgiving and help prepare staff for Black Friday.

No, its not a shame there is a 1 per household limit, the deal could not exist without it.

again, the only reason these CPU deals exist is to try and encourage sales of other products that MC carries by getting people in the door. 100 ppl showing up to by the CPU and likely other items actually nets MC a profit so that they can stay in business. 1 person buying 100 CPUs and nothing else results in MC losing money and is an unsustainable business practice.

Very valid point. I really hate I missed this... Could DEFINITELY have used it. I have that perfect lil H61 board for my HTPC. Some other time!
