I got i5-3750k at MC in Yonkers for $99. They would not do the combo deal. I will get Asus V Gene from Newegg then.

They gave you an i5 3570K because they ran out of the 2500K? I got mine from the Westbury/Long Island Microcenter yesterday and the sales rep said they had plenty in stock. Wish I had bought more than one.

No. I asked about the 2500k in the first place and they said the deal is still on. So I asked if it would be possible to get i5-3570k for $99 and the guy said "no problem".

I know, right. The best I've seen on Craigslist is $150, and ebay is no cheaper than Amazon or Newegg.

Tomorrow, if they miraculously receive stock or give me a 3570k instead, I'll probably grab a friend or two, get more than one, and sell a few here on OCN for ~$100.

Then I'll sell the rest online and make profit off my 2500k devilsmiley.gif


Also, on a related note, you still get $40 off any mobo when you buy a 3570k for $170. If you need a mobo anyway, $130 ain't half bad.
