One Good Graphics card Vs. Two Decent Graphics cards

Hey Guys,

I've got a question, I am building a new computer and I am wondering if there would really be any game play differences that I would notice with the following two options:

One good graphics card (say the Nvidea GTX 660 for example) Vs. Two decent ones (Nvidea GTX 570 for eg)

My preference is to have one good graphics card. Less power consumption, and less complications. I had GTX 570s in SLI and am running a single GTX 680. Less heat generated etc.

According to Anandtech's benchmark comparison, there is very little difference between the specific two GPUs you proposed, have a look:

If you can get two GTX 570 for around the same price as one GTX 660 and that's why you're asking, you should obviously go for two GTX 570. However, as it stands it's usually better to go with a single GPU and later get another or a new one. That is, unless you get a ludicrously good deal like the aforementioned one would be.
