[OFFICIAL] Hitman: Absolution Information & Discussion Thread - Page 19

This game felt like a linear corridor shooter with stealth elements and nothing more.

They really ruined it, the other 4 games are much better in my opinion (and should in anyone elses)
Enviroments are very small, split in sections.
You have no actual targets.
You have no backstory or anything behind most of them.
The voice acting is terrible, and very cheesy, no seriousity anymore like Blood Money.
The graphics are decent, nothing more, but performance is pretty bad for such a corridor shooter.
Too many lens flares, seriously, whats up with that.
Cant really disguise yourself as youre detected almost immediately.
Theres places to hide bodies -everywhere..
Lots of backtracking and revisiting old levels.
Hitman now has emotions and is a daddy.

The "flee from the cops" missions are awful, and ludicrously scripted. like the one with helicopter, lmao!

Well, most of PC gamers these days value the graphics more than the gameplay itself, so devs just do what most of the gamers want, provide good graphics, that's it.

I miss the old days when devs doesn't sell games at beta stage and make the consumers as beta testers, and the gameplay length is too long it seems like it will never end, now it's too short and if you want more you have to pay extra money for the dlc.

I'm on catalyst 12.10, I get same fps on benchmark with one card as with 2 cards.
On medium I get 60fps on average, with 1card and with 2 cards.

I'll try 12.11 + Cap 12.11, not sure if that will help me.

If you are thinking of buying it, I really wouldn't bother. It's not worth the price tag IMO. I would however always go PC, but out of the 2 consoles, perhaps PS3. Still, don't spend your money on it.

This, this this and this.

They've just removed everything that makes Hitman Hitman. This game should really just be called Bald Guy.

I don't understand how devs get away with leaving the disguise system as it is and expect people to pay money for the game. Its one of the key and central dynamics people expect from Hitman. It's like selling a car with no steering wheel.... and people wonder why piracy is rife.

Eddie.

36fps in this scene. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I think mandatory step is to try with CF disabled. Most probably multi-gpu support isn't at its finest right now by AMD.
Try setting DOF & Reflections to low then see your frames.

Though in this particular level, I get low frames as well, but given my hardware, its natural.

really? my single gtx 560 runs this game on high settings, always at 60fps, sometimes it dips to 51fps but that's it.

Ya something seems off my single 6970 gets 45 fps most of the time on that first mission with everything cranked other than MSAA and DOF(not for performance just personal pref).

Oops, sorry, It seems I had the msaa set to 4.
Hey, if I disable vsync in game but force it via software, the fps locks at 30 for this game. Does this happen to anyone else? Have a try.
