Help with Fan shrouds and H50 mounting.

Alright, I'm doing my first actual case mod... I started a little while back with taking the case apart, and it had been sanded down, in pieces in my basement for a few weeks.

I finally want to get at it. Just for reference, its an old OEM beige case, no clue of manu. Simple ATX case. I'll post pics later if needed. So anywho, I really hated the idea of a top mounted PSU with this case, and after looking it over, I figured it would be easy to convert it, and at the same time, invert the mobo tray. I've always wanted an inverted PC case.

So after cutting it apart and removing all the rivets, I got most of the case holes cut for cable management, which might require another mod, as there is almost no room behind the mobo tray... (thinking of extending the width with a mesh metal ring to widen behind the tray, and possibly help with air flow, who knows) I was thinking of how I was going to lay out my system. I wasn't sure if I should mount the H50 in the top, as it would require the tubes to run over my GPU to the top, where I'd have to cut holes. Then I was thinking of mounting it on the rear like I had in this Solano... But it only has an 80mm exhaust. It is a bit wide, and I have enough metal to mod a 120mm fan back there, but it wouldn't be my fav way to do this... Then I looked at bottom and just dislike pulling the hot air in, as this isn't the best of cases just yet.

So after thinking for a bit, and looking at shrouds, I came up with a new idea, I might mount it sideways in the bottom of the front of the case, where normally there would be HDD's. I was thinking I could cut a hole on both sides, that way I'd get fresh outside air in, and exhaust it straight out, without the air passing through my case at all really.

But thats where things get confusing for me. I've been reading about shrouds, and theres a bit of contradicting information on the size of shrouds, and I couldn't find a lot of testing with a lot of different setups as most guides/tests said that shrouds will depend on the cooler like rad thickness and such.

So what is ideal for an H50 in Push/Pull with Corsair stock fans? This is obvious a budget mod and I can't afford money for nice fans right now. I'm not sure if I should have:
Fan > Shroud > Rad > Fan
Fan > Shroud > Rad > Shroud > Fan
Fan > Rad > Shroud > Fan

And since the thickness of the shrouds seem to make a difference in efficiency, my original plan of the fans mounted to the side panels, with shrouds between them and the rad seem to have been scratched, as it might not be the best idea. So I was thinking, if I should use a specific size shroud between fans and rad, I would do: Panel > Shroud > Fan > Shroud > Rad > Shroud > Fan > Shroud > Panel... Or whatever config of fan/shroud/rad's work best...

I hope this is not too confusing and I'm explaining this right, I might have to do up some rough paint sketches or something.

But before I go ahead and cut 120mm fan holes in my panels, I'd like input on if its a good idea, if theres a better solution, and what config of shrouding works best.

I'll be using my H50 with 2 Corsair fans as said, on my sig rig. Currently took my H50 out and put in my old Vortex 752 for silence but I want to see if I can hit 4Ghz on 4 cores with this and the Vortex just won't do it... Silence out the door now, I miss the H50.

Can't wait till next summer when I get to do a whole new build, going custom Water or modded CM Eisberg... Dinky coolers are no fun...
