You have to patent everything before another company claims credit for it/the idea. Then they have to pay you to use it, but i do agree Apple is very greedy sneaky company. I dont really like any apple products or software except my iphone5 even thou the battery life stinks...thats the only apple product that i will ever own.

This is one of those situations where you're in a conversation with someone face to face and they say something so incredibly idiotic and mind-numbingly stupid that the only thing you as an intelligent thinking individual can do is to immediately turn around and walk away with absolutely no expression on your face.

Subject: Patent number US00D504889S
Dear Supervising Officer:
As a member of a technology enthusiast group, I am deeply disturbed by the level of favor that is given by your office towards large and notoriously monopolistic corporations in the field of computing. Although it has been a growing problem, this trend is exemplified heavily in your recent approval of patent number US00D504889S.
This trend has been proven by experts in the fields of economics and technology to be systemically and endemically detrimental to the innovative progress which we, as members of a capitalist nation, are so desperately trying to make, in both terms of opportunity for small business, and for the preservation of the ideals of freedom and fair trade that we possess so deeply within the core of our patriotic beliefs.
It is clear that it has become necessary for a major reform of your policies, one that is much more focused on protecting the rights of the originators of an idea in order for them to prosper for the innovation which they bring to society and removes most if not all of the monopolistic bias that has become a burden to the national community, legal system and the development of future economic prosperity which we are all collectively in need of.
Approving such a broad patent like this brings into question the integrity of your establishment. There are many proven prior works that this particular patent obviously covers, the fact that you approved this patent is in of itself proof that your process is inherently flawed and needs review.
I appreciate your time.

Change the patent number to fit this.

At this point I forgot whether I'm supposed to take any of these patents seriously or not. Signs point to no.

This is so absurd I'm almost at a loss for words.

It's hard to be more despicable than Apple. madsmiley.png

Who cares, it's not just Apple, all the power players are abusing the patent system. Microsoft just patented that they can spy on you. Don't see what's the big deal here.
