I know; it's a joke. Text isn't the best way to communicate if a certain attitude is involved unfortunately :/

I will refrain from commenting about the US Patent Office and the appointment of David Kappos as it's director its because politics is not allowed here.

Is it just me or have people been doing animated page turning on websites for years?

On the bright side, in 20 years every single one of these blasted things will expire, we just have to make it through the next 20 years... Or revoke all the patents on useless, obvious, common, un-patentable ideas.
HEY! could care less about this as the competition could probably spice up the page turning.. but in the same article they also awarded Apple this:

So I'm beginning to think this is just a pathetic publicity stunt by Apple to get a lot of attention, and it appears to be working.

I think the Chinese government is holding manufacture rights over their head if they don't make significant headway in decimating the credibility of the western patent system.

Hey if someone can patent the term "Let's get ready to Rumble" then this is equally silly. Careful when you use that phrase in public, you may have to pay the Buffer brothers for uttering those words in a public venue...
