Crosshair V Formula-Z/FX8530 Overclocking Trouble.

Not to new to over-clocking but still a newb at it.

So I run into 2 problems:
1) When sometimes booting up or generally when i restart Windows 8, it will go to a black screen(not off) right after those rotating circles and right before the log in screen or gives a blue screen saying "windows failed to load properly". Most of the time when i restart from bios it boots up normally. (this happens pretty much randomly if i am not at default settings)

2)when i do get into windows, prime95 freezes instantly when i set multiplier to 22.5 or higher with a buss speed at 200MHz

The first problem stumps me completely. I will stress test in prime95 with a multiplier up to 22 (~4400MHz) for a few hours with no errors. Once i restart or shut down it will give me that problem or not. After those numbers it happens more frequently.

As for the second problem i have been google searching for a while trying to get different solutions and still nothing. My process is raise cpu multiplier by .5 and stress test for about 2 hours rinse and repeat until failure. once it fails ill raise the Vcore by .25. Now i can run up to a multiplier of 22 with 1.4v with no problem in prime. Once i get over that it freezes instantly. So i raise vcore and still freezes. i got all the way up to 1.55v and no change. i also tried adjusting ram volts and speed, and made sure ht and nb frequencies were close to stock. Reason i am so confused with not being able to get over 4.4GHz is this most people with similar set up are at 4.8GHz+;

If some could give some suggestions or point me to another thread/article (i have read through most overclocking tutorials multiple times on multiple forums) that has similar problems that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

"Stable" settings (with exception of problem 1 happening sometimes)
Core speed: 4400MHz
Core Voltage: 1.4v
Multiplier: x22
Bus Speed: 200MHz
NB Freq: 2200MHz
HT Freq: 2200MHz
DRam Freq: 1333MHz
DRam V: 1.5v
NB Volt: 1.116v
NBHT v: 1.214

System parts
mobo:Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU: FX8530
RAM:x2 8gb G.Skill Trident x 1600 cl7 (also tryed with x2 4gb G.Skill ripsaws 1333 cl9)
CPU cooler: Custom built water cooling loop
PSU: xfx 650w

Thanks again. It just gets frustrating when you think you have tried everything and get no results.

any reason prime95 would run stress test for hours fine but then lock up on benchmarking? thanks.
