I'm pretty happy about that. I've been reading more and more reviews where people report DOAs on hardware across the board. Fingers crossed. IPS monitor on the way.

Sorry, I've been too busy to put an update together till now. So here we go.
The last of the hardware I ordered decided to show up. A little hard drive action. biggrin.gif

I started doing a cardboard mockup. It's not pretty but serves its purpose.

Then a little upgraded layout work.

I realized while laying out the back piece here that the 120mm fan I got for exhaust wasn't going to working. It looks like there should be enough room for two 80mm fans back there though. So I went ahead and ordered a couple.

and finally I put another coat of flat black on the motherboard tray. Followed up by a coat of clear. The crappy cellphone picks don't show it off real well but it looks a million times better than the crappy sheet metal look. smile.gif

If feels nice to make progress thumb.gif

Bad news. It appears that the second video card I bought is bad. Whenever it's installed the whole system crashes under load. RMAing this thing but evga's not shipping new stuff out until after the 3rd. Good news is that has no effect on case building. Bunch of Christmas parties to go to is a bigger hindrance to progress.

Merry Christmas everybody out there on the intertubes!

Finally back with an update. Life has been busy to say the least. I wish my case was getting more attention.
First of all I hit a little snag while doing the layout. stun.gif The size of the box grew too big to actually fit on my desk. So I had to make a couple of changes to the initial design. Not a big deal just a little more work. I decided to flip the power supply sideways. That game me a couple extra inches and I shrunk the end bay down to the size of a 120mm fan. I think it should fit a little better with the changes.
Here you can see the adaptations. The extra length on the ends still need to be removed.

After that issue I starting doing some work on the corner pieces.
I made this design up for them.

I still want them to be function but also not break. There is a fair amount of weight to the parts that are going in here.

There seems to be something missing on the corners though. Oh I know what it is... the feet.

Here we go. Cut these.

The some sanding. Looks about right.

The rest of them.

That'll do.

That's it for now. See you next time!
