Got 1 problem though, right now after racing around on an ATV in battlefield 3 (All around the map) on Armored Shield, it locks up, with vertical lines, in 3 colors, like first light blue, normal blue, darkblue/black, and that pattern repeats it self.
Do any of you know what the problem might be? Low voltage?
Thanks.

Well that's definitively because of a bad overclock. Cards have different way to cause artifacts.

You could try to put more voltage, or downclock the memory.

EDIT : Run some furmark for a few minutes and check the temps. You should not have any issues with the cooler that you have, but it's still worth it to check.

Also Raghu, with stock settings you mean the default clocks right?

yes stock settings mean stock voltage and stock clocks of 900 Mhz. for stability testing use Heaven 3.0, 3D Mark 11, BF3 . Furmark is an app which maxes out chip power and is not a good test for stability checking.

I just tested BF3 (Armored shield and Gulf of Oman), on default clock/voltage and I don't have any crashes.

Must have something to do with the overclock.
I'll try that CAP 1 update.

Go for a slight overclock initially. 1 Ghz at stock voltage in AMD CCC with power option at +20%. that should be enough to hit 60 fps at 1080p Ultra 4x MSAA. If you run into stability issues and don't want to tweak around you could go for the Gigabyte HD 7950 Boost BIOS i mentioned earlier. thumb.gif

Ok, quick question, should I overclock using MSI Afterburner, or use CCC?

if you are sticking to stock voltage use AMD CCC for overclocking. for monitoring and logging temps use HWinfo32. go for afterburner if you want voltage overclocking.

Ok, I assume HWiNFO64 is the same?
Right now my Core clock is 1Ghz and my Memory clock is 1385Mhz. Been playing Gulf of Oman in BF3 and no artifacts so far.

yeah HWinfo64 is the same. 1 Ghz at stock voltage is good. also memory overclocking is less important than core overclocking. you could back off the memory to 1350 Mhz
