If you were concerned about what graphics API your video card needed to run, you should have posted this requirement in the OP
. If your looking for a card that is Direct X 11.1 compatible, there are only a few that will work with Direct X 11.1 as of right now. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but from what I can find, only the AMD cards from the HD7850 up have Directx 11 support. From what I could find, nothing on the Nvidia side of the GPU market currently supports 11.1.
Either way, your not going to need Direct X 11.1 to play Blu ray media if that's what your looking to do. There is no real sense to spending money on another GPU just to play Blu rays when you have the capabilities of doing so now. Like I had mentioned earlier, if your not concerned with losing audio over your HDMI cable through an adapter, you could achieve what your looking for with your current card for only a few dollars, and you could use a 3.5mm audio cable to whatever source your going to as well.
Perhaps instead of continuing to make assumptions and suggestions, maybe you should state your exact requirements for this HTPC.
