The only changes I would make to it is downgrade the case to this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146077

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 This PSU is a little bit better, and it is 50 bucks after sale and mail in rebate.

Upgrade to the 7970 ://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125413

dump the h100 for the nzxt havik cpu cooler. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146012

Lastly, get this monitor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236288 It is an IPS screen which is going to be a million times better than the zalman screen or many other screens for that matter.

If at all possible, you might want to do some hunting on black friday and try and squeeze in an SSD or add it at a later time.

You can get a OCZ Agility 4 128gb for less than 80$. Its what I went with. Even a cheap SSD is better than a regular hard drive.

That asus monitor looks pretty fly. Wish I had 200$ to buy it frown.gif

I'd stick with the seasonic, just me personally. That corsair is actually quite a bit more than 50$, its actually 65$ before tax. Resulting in about a 20$ difference. Yes, more watts, but seasonic is just as quality and unless you plan on CF or SLI in the near future you could get away without it. Shoot even if you CF'd that card you MIGHT be able to get away with it still, but dont quote me as I'm not sure the watts required for CF 7950.

The case is ultimately up to you since its about appearance mostly. Obviously get one with cool features for the price, but you can get similar necessities (motherboard tray/Heatsink hole, etc) for less $ if you look around. Cases I also never have a problem buying second hand or refurbished; its a case ya know? lol

I don't know why so many people recommend the expensive H100 for average users. It is a massively poor value for most people - just spend $30 on a Hyper 212+ EVO and enjoy overclocks into the 4.3~4.5 range with that CPU. No need to spend $100+ on CPU cooling.

Buy a less expensive case also and you've freed up enough money to add a SSD, which will greatly enhance your experience. Spending 10% of your budget on case seems extravagant.

thumb.gif thats what i was thinking. The Hyper 212+ or Evo are extremely good. Im using one and i cud probably jack my processor speed to 4.5 or so and stay within safe temperatures which for me is <80 degrees.
