You kind of should have briefly listed the games that you played before bro.
i second Bioshock
. It is to me the king of story driven FPS, I think its kind of half of shooter only but good enough. I couldnt stand playing it for too long cuz the crazy people in the game are scary and I get dizzy at playing FPS games, but since you played BF3 I assume you have no problems with it. It's usually only $5 on steam when on sale
2nd one comes to mind is Magicka
. I promise you will find yourself laughing so hard for dying, something you've definitely not tried before. Not that the story is in-depth or anything, but the general single player is enjoyable enough (although the co-op in this game is also part of the juicy meat, but we are not getting into that here are we)Dragon age : Origins.
The first time I sucked pretty badly I needed cheat to finish the game, but the gear, the character customization is so well done plus the fact that you control all 4 characters
in a team = tons of play style options. I found myself replaying over and over despite the essentially same story line, the dialogue options are also very "explorable", as different choices really do give different outcomes, some are so vital you will proably find yourself feeling regrets from a choice you made an hour ago.
I think I was playing for the 4th time before I quited it for Diablo 3, and then guild wars 2. First time I went 1 tank, 1 DPS semi tank, 1 DPS mage and 1 def mage. The 2nd time I went 1 tank, 1 DPS rogue, 1 DPS mage and 1 def mage. The 3rd time I tried 3 mages and 1 tank or something but I quited in the middle. This 4th time I was trying to go for 1 ranged DPS rogue, 1 melee semi-tanky rogue and 2 mages, and it was going fairly well. I also try out different dialogue options in different parts of the game in each playthrough.Witcher
and definitely witcher 2
. Must have heard of the pros of this one right? "To choose from being good or evil" used to be a selling point of RPG games, for the first time ever, a game forces you to make chioces that are so grey they make you pause. 2 also have wonderful graphics, or so everyone's been saying. I still haven't bought it, too many games L.A. Noire.
Well, this game is.....it is one of a kind. Never seen anything like this. If you ask me, I would say it's abut half a game, and half a movie. Although I think the clue finding part could have been done in a more complicated way (then again barely anyone who plays is a detective in real life so this might be the reason), the environment feels very believable, interrogation is fun have some action mixed into the game. There's quite a lot of hand-holding going on, though half of them are optional so I guess it's ok. The different cases you have to solve are really well-done and leave you wanting more, so I say it's very enjoyable.Starcraft 2.
Yes yes I know. It's 90% a multiplayer game. thats correct. But if you like RTS games too, that leftover 10% as the campaign is worth $50. Yeah I said it. It's lengthy, the quests have more diversity than just "destroy enemy's base" and now with some upgrading elements mixed in. You can also get online, download custom maps made by players or blizzard and play them. Game slike Tower defense are good for single player too.
All i can think of for now. Hope you like some of my suggestions Edited by HarrisLam - 11/18/12 at 9:21pm
