Crucial M4's die after 1 year of use - Page 4

Failure to update firmware for the loss!

I have had my m4 for over a year without a single problem. They definitely don't die in 1 year.

I'll stick with Samsung and Plextor, thanks. OCZ may have gotten better, but the Vertex 2 (and just about every other OCZ SSD) has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I've had a Vertex 2 60gb for going on two years now and not a hiccup, maybe I'm just lucky:).

Crucial was highly recommended here on OCN because they deserved it. Both the c300 and m4 are very reliable drives and OCZ made nothing that came close in reliability. The V4 has only been out since April but if you look at the negative newegg reviews as you are, the V4 doesn't appear to be doing much better than older OCZ drives.

93% who bought vertex 2 were lucky enough and didn't have problems with them. Gladly you're one of that majority.

edit: doh.gif

dont get me wrong, newegg has great review section, but a majority of people only leave review when they must RMA, thus severely skewing the results.
