ASRock software voltage readings seems to be broken on some Z77 boards. I would not believe to any of them, use multimeter. Also Sin0822 did this video yesterday that confirms that something weird is going on with ASRock voltage readings.
You don't need SSD. But you want it because whatever you do is going to be faster.
