I agree with you that there should be a choice. That was a comment I had made on another thread I believe.

Hmmm.. so his idea sounded good on paper (metro, new UI, introduction to phone/tablet OS), and to some is passable in actual usage, although when it comes to money, that's serious business and if Win8 isn't selling because of this idea, then something needs to change.

Pretty sure everyone loves the performance enhancements of the OS, as long as driver support comes along quickly, then the only remaining issue is the new UI.

um no it's usability is the same. you don't get info from bsod's, those are what dumps are for

You won't always have crash dumps, sometimes the memory stack is corrupted. BSOD error codes can sometimes be useful.

Ya........ I just installed Server 2012 on an ESXi server. That VM layer pretty much solves all your problems. tongue.gif

That's not the point of course... It should work, but I would never install a server OS onto the base system anyway when I could get so much more usage out of the hardware with VMs.

470x1080. Including start menu. And they aren't even in straight rows.

I can understand you sticking with metro only because you like it, and that's fine, but there are honestly people claiming that the metro start menu is more efficient (not that they like it, but that it's faster) then the image above.

Or people like eternal7trance who try to force their personal opinion on everyone as if it's fact. (Seriously eternal, so far in this thread you've been no better then a door to door Jehovah's Witnesses. Let them use what they wan't, stop trying to convert them to the One True OS Win8)

There are people telling us "it's totally faster! just to Winkey - type..." when this has been around since Vista and is absolutely nothing new.



At least out of the anti-metro mouths (and yours) I hear "let there be an option" or "I don't like" or "I prefer this method"
