That's not the point of course... It should work, but I would never install a server OS onto the base system anyway when I could get so much more usage out of the hardware with VMs.
Same... Overclocking with Win8 has been hell due to the lack of info. I have an almost blank Win7 install for when I plan to test things now.
See, this is what I have trouble understanding. You are bragging about almost fitting everything on 2 1440p monitors.
Wanna guess how much room I need to fit all my stuff?

470x1080. Including start menu. And they aren't even in straight rows.
I can understand you sticking with metro only because you like it, and that's fine, but there are honestly people claiming that the metro start menu is more efficient (not that they like it, but that it's
faster) then the image above.
Or people like eternal7trance who try to force their personal opinion on everyone as if it's fact. (Seriously eternal, so far in this thread you've been no better then a door to door Jehovah's Witnesses. Let them use what they wan't, stop trying to convert them to the One True OS Win8)
There are people telling us "it's totally faster! just to Winkey - type..." when this has been around since Vista and is absolutely nothing new.
At least out of the anti-metro mouths (and yours) I hear "let there be an option" or "
I don't like" or "
I prefer this method"
Icons on the desktop, my OCD is kicking in.
Anyways, you can have exact same setup in Windows 8 just without the start button. Not seeing what the problem here is.
You still technically have a start menu it's just a clean UI instead of a wall of text. I don't care if they want windows 7 or windows 8, I just feel like the hate sounds like a group of old people who hate when AOL makes changes to their UI and they get confused.
Most hate posts I see about the metro UI and Windows 8 are because people don't understand it. Like I said before, I don't want to be hundreds of years from now and still have a start button with a wall of text menu, because that's what you guys seem to want.

My answer thus far has been no. I could go on Steam and buy a decent game for that much and get far more enjoyment out of it.
How many people here can honestly say they would pay $40 to have Windows 7 function like Windows 8? I mean everything...not just the GUI, but the added security features as well. Most people won't even pay money for an anti-virus program. I find it hard to believe many people would pay for Secure Boot.
Who cares which operating system is what...in the end that is what it comes down to a few extra features...at an added cost. Kind of like asking how many people splurged to buy Windows 7 Ultimate over professional?
Same thing could be said for Vista to 7. Looks exactly the same, why bother upgrading? Oh yea that's right, all the things behind the scene that they changed.
