So basically what you want is no matter how advanced we go in the future years, you will always want Windows to have a start button and look like Windows from the previous years like 7 and Vista.

Right, and what's the problem with that? It won't affect you. You can use the one you want and others can use the ones they want.

Let me just highlight this for you:

You can use the one you want. Unhindered. Without worry. There should be no problem.

Its an amazing OS. I got rid of my ipad after using win8 on my tablet. Looks like your opinion is just that; Your opinion.

This OS makes the ipad last generation and obsolete. No reason to drop big $ on a Icrap when win8 tablets offer more for less.

So maybe Apple should have never tried something new with the lightning connector. Maybe we never should have gone from DoS to having a UI. What will you do when there's no more "typical windows UI"?

Are you just being absurd on purpose, yeah?

What part of "it doesn't affect you or your usage in anyway way" makes you want to keep attacking others for wanting what they want?

Are you the kind of guy that stands in line at the ice cream truck and shouts at everyone else for picking vanilla when you like chocolate?

I too am glad that they actually changed something...actually got their brains and creativity moving. However, I think they implemented it poorly.

Change is hard for people. It is a fact of life. They should have including everything in Windows 8...even if it slowed its boot time by a few milliseconds. Then truly gave people a choice. Even in the beta there was a lot of feed back about wanted the start menu back, but MS ignored all that and forced a change on people. If there one thing people hate more than change it is forced change. Up until now I can put pretty much every Windows OS next to each other and make them look very similar...if not exactly the same (perhaps toss out Win 95:p). It was a rather drastic move and a lot of people didn't like it.

The example in bold has nothing to do with the arguement and you didn't even answer my question. What will you do when they get rid of the typical windows UI and windows moves on to something better?

I think his point is simply that Microsoft will not always maintain all of their old features, certain things will go away over time, and at some point you'll be left with the choice to stick with a very old OS or a new one that really does not have the feature that you love. It likely won't affect you for a few years if you're a Windows 7 user, but at some point you'll want to use DX12, or some other new feature that an old OS doesn't support, and you'll be forced to choose between not getting that feature, or upgrading to an OS that may cost you to lose features from your current one. The question is, in that case, what will you do. At some point keeping the OS is more trouble than it's worth.

Big Dissapointment.
2. No start menu sucks I HATE PINNING TO TASKBAR because it looks ugly as hell to me. I want to see what I am using, not everything that I am not.
If they bring native support back to 8 then I will be very pleased with this.
3. And this one makes me angry more than the other stuff:
Fullscreen media "APPS" is there anything wrong with having things in windows so that you can transfer them to different screens and actually do more than one thing at a time?? And having me go through some craptastic store shoved down my throat sucks too.
If you gentlemen know any fixes to these problems WITHOUT third party software please share them with me. I would love to use the OS as I have already bought it and look forward to the improvements.

Windows 8 requires any monitor to have at least 1024 x 768 and to use snap apps you need 1366 x 768. Its on the system requirements page.

Never say never...

Although, Ubuntu's UI (the closest any Linux distro has come to a common user's interface, in my opinion) still has a ways to go before I'd consider it competitive.
