Headphones for 80% gaming, 20% music ? - Page 3

The Razer Carcharias are wonderful. It is a headset, so you're getting a built on microphone, and while the sound quality isn't going to blow anyone away, they are comfortable. I can wear mine for hours on end without feeling as if there is a clamp on my head.

You were right. After the bios update it enabled on-board. I disabled and optical worked....until I switched modes while listening to music. Now nothing. Tried a reboot and still no sound out of optical

update: Ok I'm an idiot. I had to enable digital out in windows control panel audio setting. All I can say is I'm blown away by the sound. My speaker system isn't even all that great....sounds completely different. Is there a big difference between the pax drivers and creative's?

As far as headphones I went with the Samson 850's. Exactly the sound I was looking for.
