Well-built mouse with a clicky scroll wheel and 2 thumb buttons

Thread Starter
My last 3 mice were 2 logitech G5 blues and another regular G5 and they have all failed (eventually a button doesn't work) and I'm sick of buying new mice.

All I want is a mouse that isn't made of cheap plastic with useless LEDs. I just was a simple, durable mouse with 2 thumb buttons and a clicky scrollwheel. Is there even such a mouse?

I recommend the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical if you can find one.  I've had the same one for several years and it is still going strong.

It's a computer!

If you're comfortable with a small mouse the CM Storm Spawn has a nice clicky scroll wheel and solid feeling buttons for both primary and thumb.

You could also try the DeathAdder, that has a pretty decent scroll wheel. There's the Mionix mice and Roccat. I'm sure there are some stores around selling the MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 as well.

Mouse buttons are destined to "not work" some day, depending on your usage and luck (whether you got a good batch of microswitches).

That said, I would add Roccat Savu to the above suggestions. It is one of the most well built mouse I have seen. Another one would be Steelseries Sensei Raw.
