Hi everyone,

I'm new to WC and Ivy Bridge OC and I wish to pick the best AIO.

Goal: 3570K @ 4.6 to 4.8GHz 24/7 stable. Currently I'm using Hyper 212+ but it's at stock speeds so I don't know its silicon lottery yet.

My criteria:
- It must fit in my 500R case, no modding will happen (defeats the purpose of a simple AIO)
- DURABILITY...i expect it to run for a minimum of 5 years if I'm spending over $100 for a cooler
- good warranty that covers leaks damage

I realize there has not been ANY reviews out comparing all 3...and hell even the NZXT and CM aren't released yet.

H100i
pro:
- no fitment problems and can upgrade to push/pull config
- compliments my case perfectly
- most affordable
- 5 year warranty covering leaks

con:
- pump grinding noise fix not official although imminent

Kraken
pro:
- unknown

con:
- length may be a bit too tight to fit in the top cut-out on my case (312.5mm and I measured 312mm space)
- $20 more than H100i
- 2 year warranty

Eisberg
pro:
- copper rad
- refillable, longevity?

con:
- $40 more than H100i
- unfavourable reviews from OCaholics
- too thick for top cut-out...rad must be fitted below cut-out which means fans on top of the rad and in the cut-out can't suck air into the rad = can't maximize performance?
http://www.ocaholic.ch/xoops/html/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=879&page=8
- unknown warranty

All the notes bolded above needs clarification because I am a newb so I hope they don't seem too ridiculous.

Does the Eisberg being able to refill mean it can sustain performance the best throughout the years? Is water good enough of a coolant? If I can't place fans below the radiator towards the hardware components but instead on top of the rad and away from the components as 'pull'...does that yield worse performance than to have the standard 'push' config?

I am now more or less deciding between the Eisberg and H100i and it seems to boil down to whether longevity is more important than convenience. Performance is still unknown if there's no comprehensive review comparing to the 2. in the end I value performance/longevity the most so I wouldn't mind paying extra for the Eisberg if it did offer that with the refillable port and copper rad.

Please, no suggestions to go for high-end air coolers (i wanna make use of my case features and play with WC) but also I'm not looking to spend over $150 on custom loops and the high maintanence that goes with it.

I will be bumping this thread as more reviews come out/get more input.

TIA.

bump...while we await comparison I hope I can get some answers to these general questions:
Quote:
Does the Eisberg being able to refill mean it can sustain performance the best throughout the years since coolant will evaporate even in closed loop? Is water good enough of a coolant? If I can't place fans below the radiator towards the hardware components but instead on top of the rad and away from the components as 'pull'...does that yield worse performance than to have the standard 'push' config?

I just upgraded my Hyper 212 EVO that had 2 *Corsair SP120 push/pull to the H100i.

I am running 4.6Ghz on a i5 2500k @1.39v.

Ran Prime95 for 45 minutes both times.

212evo sp120 push pull: - Ambient 22 / Average 61 / Delta 39.

H100i push pull: Ambient 25 / Average 57 / Delta 27.

Also I am using the H100i as an exhaust, temps would be cooler as intake.

As for your question about mounting the fans on top of the rad pulling. Pulling is always better than pushing when it comes to choosing between push or pull. Obviously push and pull would be better but yes go for pull.

I would go Kraken, as it will support much more radiator cooling space. It will also have a build in LED, to match any color scheme. The NZXT also has a 2 year warranty, and has NZXT's overall goodness. In comparison to the H100i (I would not recommend the eisberg), it depends on what you are doing. If you are going for the MAXIMUM cooling, get the Kraken when it is released. If you are just doing moderate loads (you know, in comparison to prime 95), I would get the H100i, because it's really all you would need. But, it won't have the fancy LED's as far as I know.

definitely a better option for the price, and you get a better flow, easily refilled res and easier expand-ability, unfortunately you wouldn't have any warranty to cover potential leaks.

my general rule for water cooling:
never water cool anything your not willing to potentially replace

however if you are 100% set to only use an AIO water cooler i would go with corsair for there amazing warranty support (warranty covers almost any parts damaged from leaks, or at least whats what I've read around here)

I just installed my H100i and it's a great CPU cooler if you don't want to do a full blown watercooling system. The Corsair link is very nice too, I have had no issues with it and the great thing about this cooler is that if you only use 2 fans for the radiator you can plug 2 other fans into the pump and set them up in the link software and control them very easily. Great perormance, great warrantee easy to install too. It might not give you the coolest temp possible but for the price it does a great job as far as closed loop radiators go. You can control the Logo LED with the software also, you can have a different color for changing temps so you know if the CPU is gettin hot.

your best bet is the H100i. the x60 rad will not fit and the Eisberg is not truly an AIO unit.
