AMD Build:
Phenom II 965: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727 $100
Gigabyte 970A-UD3: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519 $105
Sapphire 7870: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102983 $250
Acer Black 23" 1080p: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009255 $160

Intel Build:
i3-3220: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116775 $130
ASRock z77 Extreme4: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293 $105
Sapphire 7870: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102983 $250
Acer Black 23" 1080p: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009255 $160

If you want to go with a bigger power supply go with:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151088

With the 970A-UD3 motherboard you can drop a Vishera CPU in that later on, but its up to you if you want to go with that motherboard.
The i3 is a really good processor, and the ASRock Z77 is a really good motherboard for its price. I threw in the monitor because you said you wanted to do 1080p. With the Z77 you'll be able to drop a i5/i7 LGA 1155 processor in that if you want to.

These are good builds.
