Help choosing some speakers

Thread Starter
1. ~$250 budget
2. No music tastes
3. Just something good for playing games and watching videos
4. Don't have anything
5. At home, for PC and maybe my TV
6. California, USA

I was originally planning to get the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, but I'm thinking a little bit differently now. I'm now planning to get some passive speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifer after seeing the recommended audio page.

I was thinking about the Polk Audio T15 I saw in the Best Buy ad today for $50. A Polk Audio PSW10 Powered Subwoofer for about $100, or the 200W version for $125. I figure that I would also need an amp, so any recommendations would be good for that. I don't know anything about these, so any help would be great.

I also have a few questions, if I brought some bookshelf speakers, a sub, and an amp, would I be able to add more speakers to it later on? If so, what would I need?

Thanks

I would say invest in the best active sub you could afford so at the $200 mark look at

BIC F12

Energy 10.3

Polk PSW505

If you wanted to expand to 5.1, etc hit a surround receiver and entry level HDMI receivers are really affordable these days ^^
