Steam crashing with FX platform. Latest BIOS etc.

Hey. I am having a lot of trouble with my steam games. Both DOTA2 and Borderlands 2 are crashing after ever ten or so minutes.
I have updated my BIOS to the latest revision as most people say this is the issue. It has made no difference unfortunately.
I have tried re installing steam and all my games. Verifying the game caches. Removing all overclocks from everything. Removing one of my GPUs. Running the OrochiCEG fix. And I'm really starting to get fed up with it.
Can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks.

Did you install all of the FX "Hotfixes" for Windows?
Un Install steam then re install Steam.

Also Borderlands 2 if your Cpu is the least bit unstable.. it will spit your OC out pretty quick Via BL2 crashing.

Hey guys. Thanks for the advice.

I have installed DX manually.

I have the FX hotfix for windows.

I have also tried re installing Steam.

I have tried running with my CPU at stock and I still get the same constant crashing.
Is there anything else I can try?
Oh, I also ran Memtest86+ a lot! With my ram at 2333 it threw out a lot of errors. With my ram under 2000 it passes multiple loops.

Just had Borderlands running for about 30 minutes then another crash. The fault path is different this time though.

Faulting application name: Borderlands2.exe, version: 1.0.25.34039, time stamp: 0x50a3f31e

Looks like RAM issues (Exception code: 0xc0000005) Swap for a different kit.

Set the CPU to maximum clock manually disable APM ,CnQ ,C6 and turbo core.

Never played the games you are talking about but my 4100 is perfectly ok in W7 and XP in Steam (CS;S ,CS:GO ,DOD:S,Dirt 3)..

that's a nVidia issue there:
how to remove the old nvida driver crashing youre system
http://www.nvidia.com/object/driver_rollback.html

nvd3dum.dll is a NVD3DUM belonging to NVIDIA Windows Vista WDDM driver from NVIDIA Corporation Non-system processes like nvd3dum.dll originate from software you installed on your system. Since most applications store data in your system's registry, it is likely that your registry has suffered fragmentation and accumulated invalid entries which can affect your PC's performance. It is recommended that you check your registry to identify slowdown issues.

Hey. Yes that one looks like a driver issue. I have however already followed the instructions in the link you provided. And used CC to clean the registry too.
This is the first nvd3dum.dll Most others have the game .exe as the fault path.
I am currently testing with a different RAM kit. So far borderlands seems to be running well! I will put DOTA2 on and see if it locks up.

I should also say that I +rep everyone who comments as I appreciate the advice.
