Im building a rig and its my first time of buying SSD. What imma do is to just install my OS to the SSD and the rest of the stuff to HDD ..
I juat wanna know if i need to RAID the two of them.. Or it will work separately.
My mobo btw doesnt say any raid on its sata.
So is it possible?
Im gonna use the samsung 840 for the ssd and WD caviar green 2tb for the HDD
Thanks for the help.. Sorry om new with this raid thing.

no you dont need to RAID them
use the SSD for OS, progams and maybe some games so will be your system drive C:/
and use the HDD as a storage drive I.E D:/
note; install your OS on the SSD before connecting the HDD.. Tips and advice here

You CAN raid an SSD and HDD, but DON'T. might as well raid two HDDs - the performance will be limited by the slowest device.
