Well I do care how it looks but not really the type to go out of my way or loose performance for it. I don't think it has anything to do with how long you have been doing it. Actually it def doesn't because they have been making universal blocks forever.
All I was doing is mentioning it in case the person had not thought about going that route. A large majority of people think that because the universal blocks only cool the GPU that it is a lower performance. When actually the stock cooler usually only cools the GPU and the universal blocks usually provide better performance. I guess it depends on exactly what you are going for. If BLING BLING is so important to you then I totally understand it has nothing to do with performance as long as it is "acceptable" because it is about looking cool I guess doing it right probably includes a blinged out several hundred dollar fan control and 4 D5 pumps in chrome running at 24v.
Just please don't put the words look
and set up right
in the same sentence... To say my loop is not set up right because everything I bought gave maximum performance per dollar is silly. You can build a race car right and build a show car right they both use some of the same parts and neither are built wrong. Just because I spend less money and you don't get better performance than me doesn't let you say you did it right and I did it wrong.
Sorry that I offended you... Again a lot of people think the blocks actually need to cover the other components so I thought I was doing the right thing by brining that up.
Oh and a universal waterblock... is a waterblock just FYI and it is a little bit more blocky than a full coverage waterblock which is more like a water plate... just FYI I know you been doing it soo long that you forgot that the word waterblock followed the word universal.Edited by givmedew - 7/9/13 at 3:57am
