Ok this is my first ever computer build,
I have decided to most components but nothing is purchased and is defiantly not set in stone.
The build will hopefully be done and dusted in two or three months and am going to capture the whole build in a series of texts and pictures. Any comments on changing any components please just say. Also please correct any spelling or grammatical errors as I am dyslexic.

Proposed specs of build :

Coolermaster 690 ii advanced white and black case (GOT)

Gigabite Z77X-UD5H WIFI (GOT)

Intel i5 3570k (GOT)

Artic cooling MX-4 (will use tim that came with cooler)

Coolermaster 212 Evo (GOT)

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) (GOT)

OCZ Vertex 4 128GB (Now changed to Samsung 830 128gb) (GOT)

WD Caviar Black 1TB (GOT)

Corsair HX750 (GOT)

LiteOn DVD-RW (GOT)

LG IPS234V-PN.AEK (GOT)

Herculies XPS 20 (Now changed to logitech x-140) (GOT)

Windows 7 Pro OEM (GOT)

This is a list on amazon for all product specs.

Two things,
A: What is your budget
B: I would get an A-Data or Kingston SSD over the Vertex. More reliable

Also, what is your video card going to be?

Budget is around £1000 and yes I will consider the Kingston if there's benchmarks and reviews saying they are better that the vertex 4's.
I am not planing on purchasing a graphics card at this point in time but will be considering the gtx 670 or 680 in the near future

The thing is, the benchmarks say that the OCZ is faster, but they are the single most unreliable drive you will ever buy. Trust me, Kingston Hyper X will be very close to as fast, and infinitely more reliable.
Other then that, the build is just fine. But why no graphic card?

From a non-comparison point of view, I second his Kingston Hyper X approval. I bought my first Hyper X SSD when they came out and I'm still using it in addition to two more 240gb Hyper X SSDs in RAID 0.

Other than that, it looks like a good build. Keep us posted!

About the graphics, firstly this board and prosseser combo have high graphics ratings using the on board graphics, secondly I cannot afford to buy the card I want at first but need the computer ASAP. Thirdly I would much prefer to put up with on board, wait a few months then by a decent graphics card, over getting a crappy one from the off and getting rid of it in a few months time. On the SSD point like I said these components are not set in stone, I will look further into the kingston hyper X SSDs and most probably go with one of them
