Want some feedback on prospective ITX build

Thread Starter
Was considering selling my current PC ( 650D ) and switching to a Bitfenix Prodigy build. I will be doing some gaming, netflix, streaming to my TV etc. No content creation of any kind really ( Video editing, etc ).

Here are the specs i was considering:

Processor: Intel i3 3225
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77N WIFI ITX
RAM: Samsung 1.35v 1600 Mhz ( 2x4 )
SSD: Samsung 840 120 GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB
Case: Bitfenix Prodigy
Power Supply: Seasonic XSSFL 520 Watt fanless PSU platinum
Graphics card: MSI Twinfrozr 7870
Optical Drive: LG DVD 24x burner
CPU Cooler: Undecided-- considering Corsair H60 if it will fit, need some feedback on that. Or any other cooler suggestion are welcome

So what do you guys think?

any reason why you'd need a fanless PSU? most high quality PSU's will be quieter then any fan you'd have in the system.

Was your point in your build to go smaller? I saw the Prodigy in person at Micro Center yesterday. That case is HUGE! It is almost the same height and depth as a normal micro ATX tower, but is WIDER! I don't understand why people just don't go with a micro ATX case instead. Yes, VISUALLY the case looks small because you see through those plastic handle looking things (which are really flimsy, BTW) but those do add to overall dimensions.

Having asked people why they want the Bitfenix Prodigy, they usually choose it because of the looks of the case, and then build a mini-ITX rig around the case. i.e. They come from the perspective of "I want a PC based on the sexy Bitfenix Prodigy" instead of "I want a lightest, smallest PC". Portabiliy and space-saving is of little concern to people wantiing the Bitfenix Prodigy. wink.gif
