My Little Pony - Folding Is Magic - Page 89

Whoops! Complete removal and reinstall fixed it all! False alarm tongue.gif

Managed to update my bios at least! Not that it seems to have helped any.

New version of Folding@Home out also! Again, I don't think it helps any, but we all like to be bleeding edge around here don't we? wheee.gif

my scores haven't been that high lately, i actually turned off my computer for most of the day because it's been acting up. i figured a day of break wouldn't hurt.
lately, after my computer has been folding for a few hours, and the monitors turn off to save energy, my monitors stop responding and stay dark. i'm not sure if it's a graphics driver problem, or i've just been wearing down my card too much.

Well you can't really "wear" a card down, unless you give it too much voltage.

Have you tried disabling energy saver options?

Perhaps even some conflict with drivers, are you on the latest drivers?

Usually when I smack the keyboard and my monitors stay black I know the overclock isn't stable because X.org crashed tongue.gif They usually still light up, they just don't display anything. I have little to no clue about the windows side of things however. I know it usually doesn't yield anything helpful, but does the windows log have any errors in it?

i'm pretty sure i'm not running anything on energy saving mode... but i'll have to check that next time i restart.
and no i'm using standard voltage.

i'm on 314.07 which i believe is the latest nvidia drivers.
i'm also using evga precisionX 4.0.0 for overclocking and fan speed control if that matters.
also, the issue is my monitors stop registering input when i try shaking the mouse or pressing a key on my keyboard to wake up my computer i guess. (not that my computer goes into sleep mode while i'm folding, it's just my monitors turn off after a few minutes of me not using my computer)
i think occasionally the F@H client will freeze too because even though my PPD is estimated at 35K, i'm not getting anywhere close to that. (which was around what i was getting when i first started folding)

i'm not sure on this one...

oh and i also just updated to the latest F@H client to see if that fixes any of the problems i've been having.

Might try uninstall F@H completely and deleting the cache, and re installing it?

these damn 7662's

not too bad considering they take only about 4% of the cpu and run light, hadn't it been for the fact that I don't seem to be getting any of the bonus points, sticking me with one 1600 point wu every 19 hours.

Did manage to find some others having troubles with GPU folding. Can you post your log Yaop? Here is the error they were getting:
Code:
08:22:19:WARNING:WU00:FS00:Detected clock skew (1 mins 11 secs), adjusting time estimates
http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=23801&start=30
