I'll Get the Phenom II X4 965 BE With an AMD 7950 Video card for Gaming, Also got a 750 Watts Gold 80 Plus PSU, I was wondering If I can install all this in my Old Gateway4200-09 with some RS780 Motherboard.

I'd love to heard that I don't need to Upgrade the Motherboard smile.gif

Your mobo is Socket AM2+ according to Gateway's site, Phenom 965BE is AM3, so unfortunately you will need to upgrade.

Sad story.... I though you could install AM3 Processors on AM2 Sockets with retro compatibility, thank you anyway.

You could upgrade to the Phenom X4 9650. That's as much as you'd be able to get out of that motherboard.

You'd be better off saving up a bit more to replace your board as well though.

You can if the bios supports it. Pre-Made PC really don't support bios update, because they want you to buy another PC for them.
