Hello everybody.

I don't know which board to post this on.
Im planing my first build and I need some advice.
Here is what i got so far:

Intel® Core i5-3570K Processor
Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 GHz 3GB GDDR5
Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler
Corsair HX 650W PSU
ASUS DVD Writer, DRW-24B5ST
Western Digital® Desktop Green 2TB

But, i cant decide which motherboard to pick.
I have these two in mind : ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 & MSI Z77 MPower,

Any thoughts ?

So we can help you out better, what will you be doing and what is the maximum you're willing to spend?

What resolution will you be gaming at?

How much storage space do you need?

Do you want a SSD?

What games will you be playing?

How much will you be overclocking by if at all?

1. I have no spending limit.
I can't afford all the components at once so I'm buying the things i need over time.

2. 1080x1920

3-4. I don't know exactly how much space i need. I have an 500GB external hardddisk for movies, music and pictures ect.
I have considered a SSD but it is kind of expensive though. if i am buying one what would you recommend?

5. Black Ops II, Skyrim and AssasinsCreed III ect.

6. I don' t know much about overclocking, but i would like to have the opportunity

(sorry for my bad english, hope you understand)

Don't get the Sabertooth, it is overpriced and the "thermal armor" is junk. Of those two get the MPower, or if you like Asus get the P8Z77-V.

If I may offer a suggested possible build:
CPU: 3570K $220
GPU: EVGA GTX670 FTW 2GB ~$360 on sale (much better drivers than the AMD, IMO)
HSF: CM Hyper212+ EVO $20 (if you want a BIG air-cooler, then the Thermalright dual-tower coolers are amazing)
PSU: NZXT HALE90 650W Semi-Modular 80+Gold (sub-$75 if you catch a sale; uses fantastic SuperFlower internals)
ODD: I would just grab one from an old PC, as you likely won't use it much
SSD: 120-128GB for ~$70 (watch ads, there are some very good models that get marked down super cheap!)
HDD: WD Blue 1TB ~$75 (the EZEX model, uses 1TB-platters)
CASE: Personal Preference, but I would strongly recommend not skimping on this as a case can last many builds, same with the PSU
MB: I would personally find either board to be a good choice; have you looked at the Gigabyte Z77-UP5/UP7? Very nice boards it would seem (no hands on experience)

You can have a very nice build for ~$900-1100 depending on the storage/case you decide on, and one that will give you PLENTY of room to grow...

I would highly recommend spending extra on the "main" components, because it's extremely easy to add an extra HDD or whatever, but you want to build on the strongest foundation possible. Also, NEVER SKIMP ON THE PSU!

HSF: CM Hyper212+ EVO $20 (if you want a BIG air-cooler, then the Thermalright dual-tower coolers are amazing) Or a Phanteks PH-PC14TE or Noctua ND-14, if he has the budget.
PSU: NZXT HALE90 650W Semi-Modular 80+Gold (sub-$75 if you catch a sale; uses fantastic SuperFlower internals) Yup, good choice.
ODD: I would just grab one from an old PC, as you likely won't use it much Or get an external one.
SSD: 120-128GB for ~$70 (watch ads, there are some very good models that get marked down super cheap!) Samsung 830, Intel 330 or Plextor MS5.
HDD: WD Blue 1TB ~$75 (the EZEX model, uses 1TB-platters) Caviar Black is slightly faster, and has 5 year warranty.
CASE: Personal Preference, but I would strongly recommend not skimping on this as a case can last many builds, same with the PSU

You can have a very nice build for ~$900-1100 depending on the storage/case you decide on, and one that will give you PLENTY of room to grow... MSI Z77 G45, or the ASRock Extreme4. Both great boards, at quite a cheap price
I would highly recommend spending extra on the "main" components, because it's extremely easy to add an extra HDD or whatever, but you want to build on the strongest foundation possible. Also, NEVER SKIMP ON THE PSU!

May I ask, what you'll be using this build for? What games / programmes will you be using, and wether or not your going too be heavily OCing?

Thank you for the answers.
Here's what i got:

• Intel® Core i5-3570K Processor

• Cooler Master V8 CPU

• Cooler Master GX RS-750-ACAA-D3 PSU

• Kingston HyperX blu - 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz PC3-12800 CL9

• EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB PhysX CUDA

• ASUS DVD Writer, DRW-24B5ST

• Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 120GB

• WD Caviar Blue WD10EZEX - Harddisk - 1 TB

• Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH

But I think it is getting a bit to expensive.
With my income it would take awhile to build.
Anything i could cut down on

The price, in Denmark, for this build is ca. (9.000 DKR.) 1.500$

Tell me what your budget is, and what your using it for, i'll get you a build.

As mentioned i don't really have a budget, i am going to build it over time, buying the hardware when i have the money for it. But
the more expensive it becomes the more time it takes and it takes. patience which i have not.

The primary use is gaming.
