Club 3D, 7950 RoyalKing vs 7970 RoyalKing?

I am in quite the pickle here. I can't decide on a card to buy! There are two versions of the Club 3D RoyalKing 7950: The CGAX-7957O2 and the CGAX-7957O. The 7957O2 has a red PCB and the 7957O has a black PCB. Then there is the Club 3D RoyalKing 7970: CGAX-7977O.

Kind people of overclock, which one should I choose? I am looking into overclocking my card to about 1200Mhz if possible and I'd like it to be as cheap as possible as well.

P.S: I have a SilverStone Fortress 02 ; )

OP which country are you from. are you picking club3d because it is the cheapest. i would suggest a better brand like Gigabyte HD 7950 . anyway to answer your question

CGAX-7957O - has clocks of 850 Mhz

CGAX-7957O2 - uses the boost version with 880 Mhz core and 930 Mhz boost clocks. if you run with power option at +20 the card will run at 930 Mhz always without throttling. otherwise it might fluctuate between 880 and 930. once you manually overclock beyond 930 Mhz it will run at the clocks you set.

I live in Sweden and from what I have seen, heard and read, Club 3D is not bad due to its low pricetag(s). They are actually quite good. And I won't pick a Gigabyte due to their cooler since it won't work well in a FT02. Thank you for answering my question, somewhat.

The colour scheme is also perfect for my build as it is both red and black and the cooler seems to perform very well.

the windforce3x cooler is quite good. also the club3d models and the gigabyte all have open cooler and not the blower style used in the reference HD 7970. design wise both these cards vent the hot air into the cabinet. how did you conclude that the club3d works better in the FT02.

I concluded that after looking at the design of their heatpipes.
