Will adding second hard drive reduce battery life on laptop?

Hi I was wondering if adding a 2nd drive to a laptop reduces its battery life?

Yes. Laptop HDDS use between 1-3 watts (idle/read) so you can add that to the watt/hour consumption of your laptop.

Yes. However, if your laptop is able to accommodate two 2.5" drives, more likely than not, the rest of the parts are high powered enough that the decrease in battery life caused by the extra HDD will be negligible.
