The processor is currently at 4.35GHZ 1.32 volts.
I would really like to get this processor to 4.6-4.8.
When i overclock with settings that don't work, sometimes the motherboard goes into a boot loop, and i cant get it to boot without resetting the CMOS.
The motherboard is gigabyte; if you need the model number i will get it when i get back home.
For some reason, no matter what voltage i set it at, the processor doesn't like to go over 4.4GHZ.
The cpu PLL is 1.72 Volts, overvolting enabled.
Half my ram is PNY 2 x 4GB 1333MHZ overclocked to 1600MHZ.
the other half of my ram is Corsair Vengence 1600MHZ.
I have raised the voltage of the ram from 1.5V to 1.56V because of the extra frequency due to changing the bus speed from 100 to 102.
I am not sure if there is an issue with the memory controller on the processor, or if its the processor itself.
Buying any new hardware is not an option right now, so i would really like to explore whatever options i have to get this thing to overclock.
Thanks for the help everyone!
