I have rma'd a motherboard to asus and recieved a "repaired" motherboard only to find out it was still a paper weight, so you might want to give them a call again.

There seems to be a bit of confusion about my actual issue here. So I'm just going to be blunt and list my parts and say what exactly is occurring as of now.

MOBO - Asus P5ND

CPU - Core 2 Duo E6600

GPU - 9800 GTX+

PSU - Corsair TX750w

RAM - Kingston Hyper X 2gigs

HDD - Western Digital Raptor 150gb

The current issue is just no video and no beeps for the post. The rig powers on fine, lights, fans, etc, but doesn't send any video signal whatsoever. I've just taken the board out of the case and put it on cardboard as recommended. This had no effect either. Still no post.

Did you try without the GPU and HDD to see if it will give you a beep? Didn't miss plugging in the 4 pin CPU power cable?

I am still suspect of your memory though. Try pulling it out and powering it on. Then power down and put it back in and give it a try.

hmm haven't tried taking out parts to give a false post... That's a pretty god idea, uno momento, I'm testing this right meow.

Yeah, try with just the CPU and nothing else whatsoever. It should give you a lot of beeps complaining that there is no RAM installed. Also, while you're at it, a CMOS reset wouldn't be such a bad idea. You could also check if the little jumper is in the correct position in the end, not that you'd try to power it on with the jumper in the clear position.
Been there, done that, was pretty embarassing in the end redface.gif

heh, well there are some boards that don't label it very well...some you have to try it one way and then the other or else look it up in the documention (and who in their right mind would do that? tongue.gif)

I've gotten RMA'ed boards back with the CMOS jumper in the wrong position before too now that I think about it. I assume left that way from testing by accident.

UPDATE

Tried with just the CPU and nothing else. Same result. Turns on but No beeps or video.
Tried CMOS reset. Same result.
ughhh... *** could this be!? After researching a bit online I saw that even if it WAS the cpu... it would still post to tell me it was the cpu... *** could ASUS really have ****n sent me another broken board?
This is probably the extremely rare time when it's the CPU's fault.

If you didn't replace anything yet (pretend), I would say in order of most likely to least likely:

1) Motherboard
2) RAM
3) HDD
4) PSU
5) CPU

EDIT: Have you tried using a different/new CMOS battery yet? Also, I've had bad RMAs all the time. GSkill sent me back bad RAM, MSI sent me back a bad Mobo...
